Lebowskis is run by a friendly team of volunteers on a completely obligation free basis. You can offer as much or as little of your time as you're comfortable with.
Two volunteers are rostered on per session, arriving at 4pm to set up the venue and run the gig, and leaving around 8pm having packed up. Since we operate in a community music hall, it is our responsibility to leave the space in the same condition we find it, so that it can be used by other music groups for rehearsals and performances.
Responsibilities for volunteers include taking entry fees at the door, counting the till at the end of each session, assisting performers with sound set-up (we'll teach you how to do this!) and making sure patrons and musicians feel safe and welcome. It's a great way to connect with amazing musicians, see incredible performances for free, and learn crucial skills in venue management!
If you are interested in volunteering with Lebowskis, you can get in touch via our contact form, or through a private message to our facebook page. We organise our volunteer rosters through facebook, so having an account is necessary to be a part of the team
